Taylor Lewis and Michael O’Neil Obtain Defense Verdict in Chiropractic Negligence Suit

Following a five-day trial in Multnomah County Circuit Court, attorneys Taylor Lewis and Michael O’Neil obtained a defense verdict on behalf of their client, a chiropractic clinic, in a medical negligence case.

The plaintiff alleged that the clinic had her undergo treatment on a mechanical traction table that was contraindicated due to a pre-existing spine condition.  She claimed that the mechanical traction caused a disc herniation and ongoing chronic back pain and sought $5.3 million in damages.  Following deliberations, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the defense.
